Meet the Author

Farah London is an author, global advocate, and lifelong animal lover whose work is driven by compassion, education, and service. She is deeply passionate about helping children learn kindness, courage, and respect for all living beings. Farah has spoken at the United Nations and the UK Houses of Parliament, championing causes that support youth education, community empowerment, and social responsibility. Alongside her professional achievements, she has dedicated much of her life to volunteering and mentoring young people, helping them believe in their potential and find their voice.

Farah’s journey into storytelling began not at a desk, but outdoors, caring for wildlife. For over a year, she rescued and helped save injured seagulls, forming a deep respect for the resilience of animals often misunderstood. That path later led her to protect and care for a special swan family living in London’s Docklands. From the moment Tilly was born, Farah noticed something extraordinary. Tilly was different cream-coloured, bold, curious, and fiercely brave from just weeks old. Watching her grow, protect her siblings, and face challenges with courage inspired Farah to share Tilly’s true story with the world.

Beyond Tilly, Farah has dedicated many years to animal rescue and conservation globally, raising awareness and supporting efforts to protect sea turtles, rescue dogs, safeguard monkeys, and advocate for wildlife in vulnerable communities. Her commitment spans continents and causes, always rooted in empathy and action. Through Tilly the Swan, Farah hopes to teach children that being different is a strength, that kindness matters, and that even the smallest among us can be brave.

This book is more than a story it is a gentle invitation for children and adults alike to care more deeply for animals, for one another, and for the world we share. Tilly’s journey reminds us all that courage, compassion, and light can shine from the most unexpected places.
